My favorite part is that these are going to be someone’s neighborhood landmarks. “Turn left at the saxaphone player,” “yeah I work in the shop right next to the Princess Leia fire hydrant,” “if you pass the shady guy selling watches, you’ve gone too far.” The urban and suburban worlds are so funny of random infrastructure points that you’re just supposed to ignore, like those big metal wiring cabinets on the side of the road and all those backflow preventers all over the place. With just a little paint, now they have friendly, comprehensible meaning.
Hey everyone, this is Esh here with a thing I want to show you all. Well, more like tell you.
My mom and I are wanting and are planning to start up our own business. But not just any kind of business: An LGBTQA+ Lounge! So far, we’ve planned out what we want to do with this. Allow me to list off the possibilities given the options of where we can set up shop.
This place shall provide:
A safe shelter for LGBTQA+ members and straight allies and basically anyone who isn’t an oppressive asshole.
This will mostly be a hangout spot with coffee and maybe some other treats to snack on as you chill.
Possible a meeting room you can book if you want to plan a private meeting for something with your friends.
Art and merchandise decorating the place that you can buy if it strikes your fancy.
Art commissions (from me!) should you wish to request a piece.
Possible apartments for those seeking shelter from toxic environments and need a place to stay before they get back to their feet.
A cute puppy that can serve as emotional support because she is a smol, loveable bean that will roam around the establishment every once in a while.
Possible TVs playing shows. You can request a show if you wish for us to play it on a certain day.
This is also a kind of retail store with a lounge area, and we will sell LGBTQA+ merchandise. My mom knows how to make jewelry and I can make art (I’m also learning to sew, so maybe some clothing will be available, too!)
A possible future non-alcoholic bar with juices, smoothies, and other non-alcoholic drinks.
Event planning, like a Pride Parade for the area, small festivals, bake offs, and more!
Now, we’ve planned all this out. We have a few places in mind to set up shop. What we need to work out is getting the Grants and funds for this. We’re figuring this out, but I’m also asking for your help because I feel that this should be a team effort! My town doesn’t have much representation and we want to change that with this shop.
So any advice or tips will be appreciated! And once we get it all planned, I may also set up a GoFundMe page for this, too. I’ll be sure to keep you all updated if you want.
Thanks so much for reading! Have a great day, peeps!
“So what? You had a bad semester. You gained some weight. So what? You’re single again. You lost your job. So what? What now? You live. You try again. That’s what.”
Beautiful and Unique Galaxy Eye Rainbow Obsidian Pendant Necklace. Rainbow Obsidian is a type of black obsidian that when highly polished and exposed to strong, bright light reveals lustrous layers. It is a natural volcanic glass that creates a strong shield of protection from negative energies. It helps to cleanse the auric field of impurities that may latch to your physical and emotional energies, helping to heal you spiritually. This is meaningful and lovely gift for your Friends and Family!
I was given an Obsidian necklace by a Nurse while was undergoing treatment at a local Hospital. I haven’t taken it off since the day she gave it to me. ❤️
