Why wait for a poltergeist to cause a ruckus? Slam your own doors. Rattle your own windows. Smash your own favourite plate against the wall. Haunt your own house. You don’t need no weakass spirit. The only supernatural force you need in your life is yourself.
This is legitimately how I comfort myself after watching scary YouTube videos at 3am. I’ve been doing this for years. I get paranoid that whatever spook is in my home just out of my field of vision and is gonna get me and I say “the scariest creature in this house is me” and it makes me feel a lot better.
tbh? i will defend spiders with my life. they’re not “evil” they’re animals and they’re driven by instinct. when they bite you they don’t think “i hate this person i’m going to make them feel miserable >:)” they’re defending themselves. they literally cannot have any sense of morality. stop saying things like “all spiders should burn in hell” or “spiders are monsters” ,etc. spiders are really important and also are really interesting animals!
the worst thing is? i’ve went on youtube and seen videos people post of their pet spiders and the majority of the comments are always shit like “KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!1” like, that’s someone’s pet that they love and care a lot about. don’t do that.
be nice to spiders. even if you think they’re scary. even if you don’t like them; they’re not evil; if you seen one in your house please don’t kill it, it doesn’t want to hurt you; take it outside where it belongs. don’t be rude to people who are passionate about spiders/own spiders.
why are non-millennials so personally offended by everything? like if i’m still wearing my jacket indoors, it’s because i’m cold, not because i disrespect your home/your classroom !! if somebody has got your order wrong, it’s because they’re very busy and simply made a mistake, not because they’re trying to jeopardise your meal !! if somebodies phone rings during a meeting/lecture, it’s because they accidentally forgot to put it on silent, not because they want to disrupt your speech !! just calm down, sharon, not everything is about you
my personal favorite is when you yawn and they’re like “am I boring you?”

Your words are coming from your insecurities and fears, which like to lie to you and make you believe in things that aren’t true.
I care about what you post. Sister cares. As do your followers. Keep doing stuff for us five people, because I know I smile when I see your icon on my dashboard. So do others.
So what if you don’t have hundreds or thousands of followers? So what if you’re not famous or popular? What matters is that the people you do know care about you and enjoy your art and blurbs. Saying you shouldn’t care about yourself because there are people more popular than you are is like saying “No one should eat the lesser known steaks because the most popular one is more popular.”
Well, I for one quite enjoy my lesser known steaks more than the popular ones, because I love it more than the number 1 choice. Why? Because I like the taste better. You, my brother, are amazing and talented and don’t deserve these insecurities you feel. You deserved to feel loved, and if we five people are all that’s here for now, then I guess we have a lot of love to give.
And if you say “But that’s only five people…” Who says you need a big friend group to be happy? We’re here because you love and support you for you, not just your art. We care about you and will stay by your side. And also, there’s always the future! In the future, you could have so many more friends. All of those future friends are just waiting to be discovered, but they can only be found if you keep going.
You are loveable and important. To the people who know you and care about you, you are more important thank you think. Don’t let your anxiety and fear tell you otherwise. If it does, I’ll beat it back with a stick.
So keep going, brother. For us five people that know you, as well as for all future people that will come to know your importance. Keep going.

With tumblr’s sucky “best stuff first” update,this is now more important than ever. Every small artist who wasn’t already tumblr-famous is feeling this update in a very real way. It’s depressing to feel that I suddenly suck at drawing (even more than I used to), but that’s what it currently feels like. My art is dying on my blog.
