What’s best is I love all three portrayals, basically anything with this man in it he’s so precious.
UK Gordon Ramsay is dealing with sensible people and edible food. US Ramsay is dealing with people who have actual health code violations in their restaurants yet claim to be good chefs running an acceptable business. Masterchef Junior Ramsay is teaching kids how to cook. No fucking WONDER there’s a massive difference.
Something I’ve talked about before and find super helpful! Finally in a visual!
This literally changed my life you guys don’t understand every time I almost relapse I think of this and I stop I’m two weeks clean because of this post I love everyone who reblogged this thank you all so much
Not Yelling At Children is Better Than Yelling At Children, More At 11
Water is wet? We been knew?
Every time you fucking morons dismiss these things as obvious. Every time you show that for all your “concern”, you know nothing about how these things work.
No matter how obvious, there being studies matters, because next time, when people are denouncing bad parenting and they are asked for scientific proof, instead of saying “Water is wet? We been knew?”, they can point to the study that legitimizes and proves it, and they can say “here’s the evidence, shitheads, now start being good fucking parents/acknowledging the bad that you cause”.
Yeah, like. It’s reasonably obvious, but people don’t know it, and keep in mind ADHD is somewhat hereditable, meaning that kids with ADHD may well have parents with undiagnosed ADHD, who can have a hard time with emotional regulation, and probably got yelled at a lot.
Telling them that it can be better, concretely, with numbers, is a really good idea.
I had no idea giant porcupines made fucking precious sounds
THAT’S THE SOUND IT MAKES!?!?!?
UN-BE-FUCKING-LIEVABLE
We got asked if this is cute and okay. I can very happily say yes, this is stupid cute and those are happy porcupine noises.
One of my favorite things about doing zoo work was all the noises you never realize the animals make when they’re excited or interested in a new thing. Coatimundis squeak and snuffle, and giant porcupines make that sound.
Omgggg the sounds.
Teddy is back on my dash and all is right with the world
If you’re trying to catch a housecat that’s gotten outside, don’t forget: they’re an ambush predator and you’re a persistence predator.
You have several times more endurance than they do – use that to your advantage!
Don’t run after them; that’s playing to the cat’s strengths, and vigorous pursuit may cause them to hide. Instead, follow them at a brisk walking pace until they get tired and need to have a lie-down, at which point you can simply pick them up and take them home.
Ok but no shit this tactic is what allowed humans to survive pre-civilisation
Some mammoth: *chilling, eating grass, mammothing*
Cavedude: *power walks towards them*
Mammoth: oh sIHT
cat : haha you can’t outrun me
human:
That’s the best possible use of a gif I’ve ever seen
You know what’s scary about this age? You can’t even enjoy your down time. You’re socially convinced that every moment you’re spending not doing anything is wasted time. That you always should be working towards something. We forget that it’s okay to have a breather and simply take time to yourself.
Thank you
Today I had my first job interview. My anxiety was so bad that even medication wasn’t enough to completely get rid of it. I was so scared that I would mess up that I could barely think about what to say.
But then, as I made my way to the interview, I put on some music to calm myself. The first song to play?
All The Way, the iconic Jacksepticeye song.
As I listened to it, I started telling myself “I believe in me. I believe.” And soon, I remembered PMA. So, I thought to myself:
“Positive mental attitude. Think of the good things that can happen.”
It helped a lot more than I expected. My anxiety seemed to lessen, and I felt so much better after telling myself to keep a positive mental attitude. The worst they could do is say no, I told myself. Best case, they hire you in the spot.
And because my anxiety went down after recalling so many of Jack’s kind and uplifting words from his vids, I found that I was doing well in my interview.
They hired me in the spot. I was beyond cloud nine.
So, I really want to thank not only @therealjacksepticeye, but also the JSE community. Positive mental attitude helped me, and I truly hope it helps out everyone else.
